Caroline Framke is a chief TV critic at Variety. In 2019, she was named TV Critic of the Year at The Los Angeles Press Club¡¯s National Entertainment Journalism Awards. Prior to joining Variety in 2018, she was a staff writer at Vox with a focus on gender, sexuality, and power dynamics in pop culture and beyond. Her work has also appeared on NPR, The A.V. Club, Salon, and The Atlantic. Framke is a graduate of Smith College, a keen seltzer enthusiast, and a big fan of TV that¡¯s smart, strange, and self-aware. She is currently based in Brooklyn, New York.
